Custom curved stairlift with a twin rail for indoor or outdoor use

Ideal choice for compact stairs

The track can be designed to take you from the ground floor directly onto the landing level, to meet your needs exactly and offers an automatic hinge solution to prevent the track obscuring a doorway at the base of the stairs.

Its twin tube construction delivers strength and stability whilst enabling tight bends, in fact this system offers the tightest bend that is available from any stairlift manufacturer making it an ideal choice for compact stairs and hallways.

This double rail system, designed for a stable and smooth ride, is supplied in light grey, or brown as standard and is delivered in industry leading manufacturing times.

We can also accommodate special orders so the track can be finished in any colour to suit your décor.

This twin rail system can be supplied with a choice of three seats: the Style, the Smart and the Simplicity.

The nuts and bolts
    • Automatic hinged rail: If there is limited space at the bottom of the stairs or if the rail blocks the hallway or a door, you can choose the automatic hinged rail.
    • Space: Once installed, there will still be enough free space on the stair to walk up and down safely.
    • Seat swivel: Upon arriving at the top of the stairs, you can swivel the seat towards the top landing for a much easier and safer exit. This can be done manually but automatic seat swivelling is available as an option as well. Simply hold the ergonomically designed joystick towards the top landing and the seat will swivel automatically.
    • Safety stop: The stairlift is fitted with safety sensors that will stop the lift whenever it runs into an obstacle.
    • Load capacity: The weight limit on the 2000 is 115 kg. The weight limited can be increased to 137 kg with the heavy duty kit.

    How to use this stairlift

  • In order for the seat to get low enough for the user to sit on, it is necessary for the track to extend beyond the staircase to the lower floor level. Or in some cases, there may be a doorway close to the bottom of the stairs and the track may intrude across this. In these circumstances a hinged track should be installed. This means that the track can be folded away from the doorway giving clear access.

Curved stairlifts can be supplied with a powered hinged track that extends when you go downstairs, and folds up when you go upstairs or want to park the lift out of the way, allowing clear access on the lower level.

Outdoor

The 2000 Outdoor stairlift is fully weatherproofed and designed to overcome the problems caused by outdoor stairs that are spiral, run around corners or are straight with intermittent landings.

The made to measure 2000 series features a chrome plated rail with tight bends that hug the edge of the stairs  and grey stanchions that tone with the slate grey UV stable upholstery and anti-slip footrest. Our outdoor stairlift also comes with a waterproof cover to keep it protected from the weather so it is always ready for use.

Like all our stairlifts, the outdoor model has a key switch to prevent unauthorised use of the lift, which means it can be isolated when not in use.

Style Seat

Our Style seat allows you to combine the 2000 curved track system with optional powered features to fold the footrest after use or swivel the seat to enhance ease of exit.

This stylish solution is tailored to your needs and your individual staircase, ensuring the best fit possible whilst giving you a choice of upholstery finishes and colours too.

Maximum capacity with:

  • 2000 hinged rail 115 kg
  • 2000 with non-hinged rail 115 kg standard rail and 137 kg with HD kit

OPTIONS

  • When you arrive at the top of the stairs, you will need to swivel your seat around so that you exit onto the landing safely. All our stairlifts come with a manual swivel that is operated from a handle located at either side of the seat.

Choosing a powered swivel option removes the need for you to operate the lever and turn the seat: simply continue to hold the toggle in the direction of travel when you arrive at the top of the rail and the seat will automatically turn to face the landing.

  • In order to maximize free space, all our stairlifts have seats, footrests and arms that are designed to be manually folded up out of the way when not in use, allowing clear access for other stair users.

You can also choose the powered footrest option that will remove the need to bend down to fold or unfold the footplate. You can choose to have a footrest that folds up automatically when the seat is also folded up, or choose a footrest that is operated separately from a switch on the arm so you can raise and lower it while seated.

Simplicity Seat

If you do not require a powered swivel option, and you have a curved staircase, the 2000 Simplicity offers you a safe and cost-effective way to overcome the challenge of climbing your stairs

The upholstery is available in a neutral sand coloured wipe clean flame retardant fabric.

The Simplicity seat swivel is manually operated but you can choose to add a powered footrest if you wish. It comes with a retractable seat belt as standard but a Velcro alternative is also available to order.

  • Available in three sizes, our body harnesses are specifically designed for stairlift users who may require further stability when travelling up and down. Thanks to its contoured design, the harness is comfortable to wear with adjustable straps that help tailor it to specific needs.

Perch Seat

If you have restricted movement in the knee or hip joints you may find sitting painful. In these situations, a Perch seat may be the best solution for you.

A Perch seat means the user is almost in a standing position when they are using the lift. There is a shortened seat (and retractable seat belt) which provides a stable support area for users to ‘perch’ on. This means that Perch Seats may also provide a solution for particularly narrow staircases where a user would not have room to travel in a seated position.
